A Community Interest Company (CIC), number 09138064
Currently, our two active projects are the Dementia Friendly Film Screenings and the Film Club. The Scrapbook of Memories project completed in July 2016, and we hope to continue similar work in the future. The Peer Advocacy project completed in June 2016, and we are currently exploring funding opportunities to enable the training of more peer advocates.
We decided to divert our work into supporting people living with dementia, in memory of John Ludbrook, who attended our Scrapbook of Memories project, and Sheila Cook.
We have been exploring ways to support those living with dementia in the community in meaningful and life enhancing ways, and are currently exploring the possibility of setting up a Meeting Centre, based on the model of those in Droitwich Spa and Leominster
This project is aimed at adults with learning difficulties and/or Autism, enabling them to develop social skills in a supportive and fun environment. Those who have been attending regularly have shown progress in their independence skills. A group of them now meets after their day's activity in a local restaurant to have a meal together before coming along to Film Club.
