When – Fridays 10 to 12.30
This project ran from January to July 2016
Where – Lewsey Learning Centre, 92 Tomlinson Avenue, Luton, LU4 0QQ
This course was aimed at those who felt isolated at home through disability, mental health difficulties, long term unemployment or retirement. Participants created a scrapbook of memories for themselves, and enjoyed two days out, one in Stevenage and one in Southend.
Another course was held at Townsend Day Centre in Houghton Regis for adults with learning disabilities, where participants learned the skills of scrapbooking and created their first pages, to share with families and friends
Funding for these courses was through the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Learning Fund
22 learners enrolled on these courses, and 18 completed them. We also had a volunteer with learning difficulties who supported us in the classroom and prepared the refreshments for the groups.
